How old do I have to be to use Gizmo?

Updated this week

The minimum age for using Gizmo is 13 and above. Unfortunately, even with parental consent, we can't lift the age restriction at the moment, but we are looking into expanding access to younger students in the future.

Why is There an Age Restriction?

The age restriction exists primarily for privacy and safety reasons. Gizmo collects learning data and includes interactive features subject to online privacy laws, such as the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which restricts data collection for users under 13 years of age.

Can Parental Consent Allow Children Under 13 to Use Gizmo?

No, parental consent cannot override the age restriction. Regardless of whether permission is granted by parents or guardians, users must meet the minimum age requirement of 13 years old.
