Gizmo Live lets you challenge friends to a quiz in real time. Here's how to get a game going.
Opening Gizmo Live
Open Gizmo Live and you'll see three options: Deck (quiz on one of your decks), Any topic (quiz on anything, no deck needed), or Have a code? (join a game a friend has already started).
How do I start a game?
Tap Deck to quiz on one of your existing decks, or Any topic to quiz on something without needing a deck first. Your game is created straight away, and you'll land on a share screen with everything you need to invite people: a 6-character game code, a QR code, and buttons to copy the link or invite friends directly. Friends can join by entering the code at gizmo.ai/live.
Wait in the lobby as your friends join, then tap Start once everyone's in.
How do I join a game?
There are a few ways to join a game a friend has started:
Tap Have a code? in Gizmo Live and enter the 6-character code you were sent
Go to gizmo.ai/live and enter the 6-character code there
Scan the QR code shown on the host's screen
Tap a shared invite link, or accept an in-app invite or push notification
If a friend invites you directly, you'll see a prompt with their name and the deck they've picked, plus two buttons: Let's play! to join straight away, or No thanks to decline.
How many people can play?
You need at least 2 players to start a game. There's no maximum, so invite as many friends as you like.
Do I need Unlimited to play?
No, Gizmo Live is available to both free and Unlimited users.
