Start by heading to your Profile and scroll down to Your study groups. Then select the + button. If you don't have any study groups yet, you can also use the Create group button.

You can also create one from Study groups: select + Study group at the top of the page, or Create study group at the bottom.

Give your group an icon and colour, and add a name if you'd like one. This part is optional. Then choose your settings: Private group, Members can invite and Members can message. Select Create study group when you're happy.

Next, invite your friends. Copy a link, show a join code, or share it directly, or search for friends on Gizmo and invite them from the list. Select Continue once you've invited everyone you want.

Your new group chat starts empty and ready to go. From there you can set up a Daily Quiz, share decks, and send files or images: see What can I do in a Gizmo chat? and How do I set up a Daily Quiz in a chat? for how each of these works.

You can make the following changes to a study group:

Select the ... menu at the top of the chat and choose Edit group info to change the group's icon, colour or name.

Choose Group settings from the same menu to make the group private, or to change who can invite people and send messages.

Select Share deck under Shared decks in the chat to add a deck to the group.

Select the ... menu and choose Archive chat to delete the group. This will remove it from everyone's Profile.

Select the ... menu and choose Exit group, then select Exit group again to confirm. You'll stop receiving the group's messages, and it will disappear from your list.
