You can chat with a friend one-to-one, or bring a group of people together in a study group.
Chatting with a friend
You can only chat with people you follow who follow you back. Tap Find friends from Study groups to see who you can follow. If someone needs to follow you back before you can chat, you'll see a Nudge button next to their name.
Once you follow each other, you'll be able to start a chat with them.
Starting a study group
Head to your Profile, scroll down to Your study groups, and tap the + button to bring several people together in one chat. See How do I make a study group? for the full setup.

📝 If you're under 18, Chat is only available on a tablet or computer after school hours. It's always available on your phone, and unlocks automatically on tablet or computer once school's finished for the day. Still seeing the block after school hours? Get in touch and we'll take a look.
