You can chat with any friend one-to-one, or with everyone in a study group. Both work the same way, with a few extra tools built in to help you study together.

On web, you'll see a row of icons in the bottom right of any page for your existing chats and study groups. A full colour icon means someone in that chat is online, a grey icon means everyone in it is offline. Tap an icon to open that chat.

On the app, you'll find your chats and study groups under Study groups instead.

Tap Share deck below the chat to send one of your decks into the conversation. It's also saved under Shared decks, so anyone in the chat can find it again later.

You can send files and images the same way. These are saved under Files and Images so they don't get lost further up the conversation.

Any chat, group or one-to-one, can run a Daily Quiz based on a deck or topic of your choice, with its own streak for the chat to keep going. See How do I set up a Daily Quiz in a chat? for the full details.

You can send quick reactions, react to individual messages, or mute, archive, block and report a chat. See How do I react to messages or manage a chat? for how each of these works.
