Flashcards only is one of the question styles you can choose within Memorise mode, alongside Multiple choice, Typing, Voice and Mixed. It's not a separate mode of its own, just a different way of going through the same deck.
How it works
Instead of being tested, you see the front of a card, try to recall the answer yourself, then flip it to check and mark yourself right or wrong.
Why doesn't it earn XP or Coins?
Since you're self-marking rather than being tested, Flashcards only doesn't use Hearts, and it doesn't earn XP, Coins or count towards your Streak.
Choosing it
Tap the cog ⚙️ during a Memorise session and select Flashcards only under Preferred question style. See Can I change the questions I'm asked when quizzing? for the other question styles.
